Concept ad exploring how generative AI tools can produce scroll-stopping social video ads in a fraction of traditional production time and cost.
Project Overview
This project explores how far AI video generation has come as a creative production tool. I set out to design, script, and produce short-form video ad entirely using generative AI from concept and scripting to visuals to test how close AI-assisted production can get to agency-quality output.
Challenge & Solution
Traditional video ad production requires a crew, actors, locations, and days of editing a barrier for small brands and solo creators. I wanted to see if AI tools could close that gap without sacrificing storytelling or polish.
Produce short, platform-ready ad concepts that look and feel like real brand campaigns testing AI's ability to handle visual consistency, pacing, voiceover, and brand tone.
Research
Before generating anything, I studied high-performing short-form ads on Instagram Reels and Youtube Shorts to identify what makes the first 1–2 seconds stop a scroll, along with early AI-generated ad campaigns from brands using tools like Google Veo to gauge what's currently achievable.
Design Process
Wireframes
Before starting work on the final generation, I sketched a rough wireframe to visualize how the animation would look and flow. After multiple tries and iterations, I arrived at a version that closely resembled the final animation — giving me a clear reference before moving into actual AI generation and editing.

Final Designs
The final ad delivered a polished, human-crafted visual style with refined color grading for a premium look, and pacing tightened to hook viewers within the first two seconds with the core message always clear, even on a quick watch-through.
"This is a great example of how AI can redefine food advertising. Fast, creative and impactful. Loved the concept"
Maninder Kaur, Digital marketer at SlideTech SystemsDesign System
A major part of this ad was defining its color scheme, theme, and overall vibe. I chose a night scene as the setting, built around a dark teal blue base paired with warm foodie tones like orange, yellow, and green to keep the visuals appetizing. Accent lighting was added throughout to emphasize key moments and add visual depth.
